A little town called Carinda, 650 kilometres from Sydney, with a population of less than 100 people became an iconic landmark in music history. One day back in 1983, David Bowie walked into the little, dusty town in northern New South Wales and headed to the Carinda Hotel. It was the last thing any of the patrons of the hotel would have expected. But for Bowie it was to be his world stage for his commercially successful ‘Let’s Dance’ video.
To comemmorate that historic day, Stars Online is proud to release David Bowie ‘Let’s Dance’ Australia which features imagery from back in 1983 and the Let’s Dance single cover. More importantly, the collage includes ‘an actual piece’ of the floor tile from the Carinda Hotel (which has been authenticated and certified by the Australian Memorabilia Association) where Bowie recorded the song.
There are only 183 in this worldwide edition and are sure to be popular.
